Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and Anxiety Disorder Treatment Part 2

Course Description:
This training will expand from the previous training provided on the treatment of      OCD and Anxiety Disorders. Clinicians will learn about concrete interventions to utilize for the treatment of  OCD and Anxiety Disorders. This training will cover specific treatment interventions from CBT, ERP, and ACT. 

Instructor Information:
Andrew Cohen specializes in the treatment of OCD and related disorders. He received his Masters of Science degree in Counseling Psychology, with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy,  from California Lutheran University (CLU), in 2018. He received his training in CBT, specifically, ERP,  ACT, and Mindfulness, to treat OCD and anxiety disorders, from Dr. Jenny C. Yip at Renewed  Freedom Center. He also participated in the General and Pediatric BTTI programs through the  IOCDF and the Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) training. Additionally,  Andrew serves on the Board of Directors for OCD SoCal, an affiliate of the IOCDF. Andrew owns a  group practice, Cohen OCD Therapy, in Westlake Village, CA, where he and his colleague see  patients both virtually and in-person. 

Danielle Cohen, MS, LMFT, is a Clinical Operations Manager and Therapist at NOCD. Danielle  received her MS in Counseling Psychology from California Lutheran University (CLU) in 2018 and  became a LMFT in 2021. She has specialized in the treatment of OCD and related disorders for over  2 years. She is passionate about helping individuals in this population, particularly children and  adolescents. She has also worked as an adjunct professor in the Masters of Counseling Psychology  program at CLU. 

Educational Goals: 

1. Be able to explain the different evidence-based treatments available for OCD and Anxiety Disorders 2. Provide proficient psychoeducation on OCD and its treatment 

3. Create specific CBT, ACT, and ERP exercises related to a client’s symptoms
